This is the second tab that I?ve tried my hand at. Most of the tabs I found for this
song were fairly complex and probably very difficult for your average weekend player. So,
I figured I?d make it more of a ?simple-man?s? tab. Hope you like it. Not sure of the
tuning as I haven?t played along with the song to double-check?but I?d imagine you could
capo it if need be. Also, it might be a bit heavy on the 7s, but that?s the way I like
it. =)
Intro: D D7 A F#m B7 E7 A E7
AB7
Your mind is made up you won't even try
D7EA7
You didn't even cry this time
AB7
You say that we can never see eye to eye
D7EA7
And one of us just must be blind
D7C#7
We have our differences, we're still the same
F#mB7
See what we all want to see
AB7
But you take a second look and maybe things wouldn't seem the same
DE7AA7
If you could see what you mean to me
Chorus:
D7A
Put yourself in my shoes
D7A7
Walk a mile for me
D7AF#m
I'll put myself in your shoes
B7E7
Maybe then we'd see
Eb7D7A
That if you'd put yourself in my shoes
D7A7
You'd have some sympathy
DDAF#m
And if I could only put myself in your shoes
B7E7
I would walk right back to me
You're gonna keep walkin' and you're gonna pass me by
You say you don't even care
But I could always recognize a real goodbye
And I know your heart's not there
We've had our differences, we're still the same
Hear what we all want to hear
Now I'm head over heels in the lost and found it's a cryin' shame
I thought we made a perfect pair
End Chorus:
D7A
Put yourself in my shoes
D7A7
Walk a mile for me
D7AF#m
I'll put myself in your shoes
B7E7
Maybe then we'd see
Eb7D7A
That if you'd put yourself in my shoes
D7A7
You'd have some sympathy
DDAF#m
And if I could only put myself in your shoes
B7F#m
I would walk right back to me
BEA7F#mB7E7A
I?d walk?right back? to me
