Bebo Norman — Lake City
"Lake City" by Bebo Norman From the album "The Fabric Of Verse" Words and music by Bebo Norman Copyright 1996 Bebo Norman bebonorman.com awakeningrecords.com Transcribed by T-rev http://www.t-rev.net Capo 2 on a standard-tuned six-string acoustic. Finger pick at a moderate tempo in 4/4 time. Bebo plays fingerstyle with acrylic nails. It's in G major relative to the capo (which is concert A). These are the finger positions that I think are best to use. Though they may not be the most natural for each individual chord, they are best because they lend themselves to quick, easy chord changes and hitting the extra notes within chords. For instance, by using the same finger for both the 3rd and 5th strings (one at a time, don't bar) in the G6/B chord, you force yourself to play the odd A bass note on beat 4 (that you might otherwise forget) because you have to move your finger to the 3rd string on beat 3. You get the idea. Anyway, these are the best fingerings overall, but if you prefer other fingerings that's up to you. The positions in parentheses are what you move to while playing that chord. _____G9______ ____G6/B_____ _____C2______ ____Dsus4____ -----o-o-o--- -----o-o---o- -----o-o----- -------o----- ------------- ------------- ------------- ------------- (1(1) ------------- ------------- ------------- ------------- 3441(4) ------------- ------------- ------------- ------------- 2 ------------- ------------- ------------- ------------- 4 ------------- ------------- ------------- ------------- 12 12341234 --------------3---------------- --------------0---------------- ----------0-----------0-------- ----------3-----------3-------- ------0h2---------2-------2---0 ------0-----------0-------2---0 ----0-----------0-------0------ ----0-------0---0-------0------ ------------------------------- 2-------2-----------2-------0-- 3-----------3-------3-------3-- ------------------------------- G9.............................
