Key of D
A* designates an A (A C# D) but ideally played higher than the preceding Bb. I
tabbed this out on my GCEA-tuned ukulele (I'm sorry but my guitar is at home and
I'm in my dorm) and I played Bb as 4222 and A* as 6454.
Also, if you want to play that characteristic recurring guitar riff with chords,
try D A D Bb D A D.
Lyrics are from Sing365.
This is my first tab so leave comments. Hope you enjoy!

DBbAD
Friend, this shouldn't be the way things end
DBbAD
But then, a break is just around the bend.
DBbA
And when you tell me as I leave
EmA
You're scared you'll never see my face again
EmG
Well, I'm not sure it's the truth
GA
You don't think I can love you
GA
You don't think I can love you
GA
You don't think I can love you
Bb A* D
But I can and I will and I do
DBbAD
You write - I read your letters every night
DBbAD
All right, I skim them just to be polite.
DBbA
I fight embarrassment and shame
EmA
The mention of your name makes me turn white
EmG
But guilt still makes me refrain
GA
You don't think I can love you
GA
You don't think I can love you
GA
You don't think I can love you
Bb A* D
But I can and I will and I do
GADBb
I imagine you think I don't think of you
GADBb
You know you couldn't be more wrong
GADBb
If good intentions paved the road that gets me through
GA
Then I've got a six-lane highway
GA
And I intend to someday
G A Bb A* D
Do all the things I say I can and I will and I do
DBbAD
Hey - it's hard for me to go away
DBbA
Okay, I know it's not adult
EmA
But it's just as difficult for me to stay
EmG
And anyway you say
GA
You don't think I can love you
GA
You don't think I can love you
GA
You don't think I can love you love you love you love you
Bb A* D
I can and I will and I do
Bb A* D
I can and I will and I do
